Hofmeister Gallery 2009 Year End Review

January 1, 2010

Just a little “year in review” for HofmeisterGallery.com….

Exhibits

I exhibited my artwork in thirteen shows this year.  The Stockade Villagers Art Show was the most lucrative for me, yet the exhibit at Terra Nova Gallery was probably the most significant development for my career.  I’ve updated my 2010 Exhibit Schedule if you’d like a peak at what’s ahead.

Sales

I sold a total of 22 original paintings – seven mid/large works, ten mini’s, and five on commission.  My trial run at selling prints as greeting cards went well enough that I reordered a fresh stock within three months.  I also secured my first arts grant.

Community Involvement

I joined the Schenectady Art Society and Jay Street Gallery with 2009 Membership, inserting fresh ideas and web developments with each.  My first run as founder, organizer, and curator of the “Reflections” Art Contest went well enough that I’m repeating in 2010.  Most exciting for me in 2010 is the early potential unearthed in Fall 2009 by Tony Iadicicco’s Third Friday/State of the Art – a grassroots art development  in Schenectady that I’m heavily contributing and partnering with, possibly even co-coordinating.
